internet contract

Hi,
I signed up to a one year internet and landline contract with Kingston Communications around 7 months ago. For those people not aware, KC have a virtual monopoly on phone and internet in the Hull area, so you have no choice but to sign up to them if you want a landline and internet. At the time I was aware I would not be staying in this property for long and enquired about rolling one month contracts etc but was told the minimum term was a year.
I will shortly be moving out of the property (will actualy be out of the country for a few months, so not staying in the local area) so where do I stand re. the remaining period of the phone/internet contract? If I was moving locally or within the uk I was told that they would transfer the contract to the new property but in my case that isnt an option. Will I have to pay off the remaining contract?
