We have a very old oil boiler and single pipe system. We've been told it needs to be renewed.
What would be a reasonable price to pay? What type of boiler is best?
Hubby wonders if we should just go all electric instead? Is he right? I thought electric was very expensive. We( 2 people) live in a chalet bungalow with no mains gas.
We are completely clueless and people will see us coming a mile off. Don't want to be ripped off. Any advice very welcome.

First point, post this in the "in my home" board for more answers.
Price will depend on the system type for instance is yours currently a back boiler, floor or wall mounted etc ?
Find out the cost for getting the gas main extended to your property
before going any further.
Mains gas is expensive but still cheaper than electricicy and prices are set to fall in the spring.0
