Have been an o2 customer for about 15 years, one month before my contract ends i phoned to haggle , the phone i wanted Blackberry Torch was a much better deal with many other providers, i ask if they could match and with an abrupt No, was asked to wait while they got my PAC number, i was absolutely amazed that in my case loyalty meant absolutley nothing, anybody else had this sort of treatment !

If you're not making them any profit, there is no loyalty any more. Just cold, hard cash.

If you've seen a deal elsewhere with another network direct then speak to retentions and they'll price match the handset cost with the closest tariff on o2.

You might have been with them 15 years but if you're not spending much then the 15 years loyalty is pretty useless...
