Cheap loperamide? (imodium)

Options
Anyone who has to buy Imodium or similar regularly, where do you get it cheapest?
I ended up getting Boots own instead of Imodium last time, but even so it was something like £2.70 for SIX capsules, which last no longer than a day and a half.
I think I got some from Home Bargains years ago but there isn't one near me. If they still stock it, then it's worth the drive to go and buy a years supply :rotfl:but I dont want to drive all that way if they dont sell it any longer.

Thanks.

Sainsbury's own brand are 76p for six, contains 2mg of loperamide. I'm sure I've bought them in Asda too.

ETA Asda's are the same price for 6 online, but it doesn't say how much loperamide is in them.

Yes that definitely helps - I have never thought to look in Sainsbury's. Got one very near by me and I do shop there once a month. That's great thank you!

    How about these:

I've used Chemist 4 U for hay fever tablets before and found them good. Free delivery if you spend over £20 (or £3 if under £20)

I don't want to be rude - however, concerned that you feel the need to stock up with a years supply of loperamide. Try having a probiotic yogurt each day...that should sort you out.

i buy boots own brand, they often have an offer on it, can't remember what the offer usually is though, maybe 3 for 2 not sure i do feel silly buying so many, but i have ibs so can get through them.

on another note i did try asda own brand, quite cheap i seem to remember and easy to pick up when doing the food shopping - i've decided they aren't as strong, i though my ibs was getting worse, but i think maybe they just didn't contain enough loperamide, i must check the packs.

Asda is exactly the same dose loperamide as any other brand.

I bought some from Home Bargains that was dirt cheap for a holiday to Morocco - it worked fine and was gratefully received by my family - despite them pooh poohing (sorry, lol, couldn't resist:o) my extreme holiday first aid kit preparations!

I don't want to be rude, however, I would love you to demonstrate some independent evidence that a daily yoghurt aids recovery from temporary or, as noted above, long term bowel 'issues'. Not anecdotal, or 'it works for me', but something substantive. Thanks! :)

I think if I was suffering with frequent bouts of diarrhoea. I would want to get to the bottom of it (excuse the pun) Just can't see how bunging oneself up with loperamide is a solution.
Probiotic yougurt was given to my MIL when she was in hospital and had the Norovirus, and yes, it did help her. I would much rather try anything natural and preventative....but then thats just me!
