By the way you can freeze all the party food which they always seem to have left @ giveaway prices.Moneysaving? - I cant stop spending because of this site!0 -
I just got back from my Sainsbury's (small-sized one), the only big discounts yet are the breads (about 80-90% off), fruits (50% off), some of the prepared meals/etc about 50% off (normal reduction prices).
I may try up there again after 1pm, but nothing too major yet.0 -
Just got back from my local Tesco, a quite small store, and they were reducing all Christmas stuff by 50% - turkeys, stuffing, bread sauce, sausages in bacon etc. As I had already got everything for Christmas day, got another 'Christmas dinner' to freeze for a week or so later! There was quite a bit left, but after they announced the reductions over the tannoy, there was a mini scrum around the seasonal aisle, and a lot went quite quickly.
As a side comment, used about £7 of coupons, so our new year's Christmas dinner cost about £5.
I've learnt so much on here in 2006, and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, and a bargain filled new year!0 -
Our Tescos last year were actually giving fresh produce away as you left. There was a pallet full of sprouts with a "Help yourself" sign and they were handing out bags of potatoes etc
This was about 20 minutes before it closed0 -
