    Booming service sector. Don't make me laugh.

    Stuart Law property investment specialist. Like he doesn't have a VI in HPI.
    Fair play Sibley you really must stop reading that shoite that is the Express. It does nothing for your dellusions of grandeur.

    It was a great article....tiny green shoots we have all been expecting!!

    I expect house prices to really start boogieing again now!!

    Its always been hard to buy your first house....whats new now??

    So, based on an article in The Express, you expect house prices to start "boogieing" again ?

    I suppose it must be true, as the newspaper said so. :undecided

    yesterday's front page was about a health scare: 'NOW SALT IS SAFE TO EAT'.

    today's was about HPI.

    bets on subject matter for tomorrow's lead story:

    (a) Diana/Kate;
    (b) Tax;
    (c) The weather;
    (d) Another health scare.

    The smart money is probably on (d).

    You forgot -

    (e) Homeowners £67 better off today.

    I'm a multiple homeowner with no children.

    And I love HPI more than a fat kid loves cake. :)

    So stop bleating on about the poor FTB you care about so much.

    If only those FTB could get a handout eh Hamish? ;)

    If you love reading an article about HPI based on vested interest figures in a dodgy tabloid then you really are a sad and lonely man. In fact, id go so far to say obsessive and probably in need of councelling.

    Its sad how you can enjoy profiteering at the expense of seeing others suffer. ?

    Now come on angrypirate! Thats a bit harsh is it not? Dont you know that Hamish is only concerned about the welfare of the FTB! He patrols internet forums each and everyday fighting on their behalf!

    I bet he even sits down every night and writes a letter to his local MP urging him/her to pressure the FSA into allowing a return to self cert and 100% mortgages so the poor downtrodden FTB can own a home. His work for the FTB is selfless

    I'm a homeowner and I'm not cheered by it. I want prices to drop.

    I agree. High house prices are bad for the economy but the majority can`t see it.

    Come on now, posting goodthink from the Daily Express - which is hardly the most read rag; it has a circulation even lower than the Star, for heaven's sake - doesn't really do the OP's reputation any favours. Massive credibility fail.

    I mean, look at the below. Do you think some rabid troll on a TEA forum started doing internet cartwheels when this was published? Also the front page on the previous day's Express was espousing how salt was less unhealthy than previously thought, and that health fascists were to face the death penalty for preventing innocent English people from enjoying a sprinkle on their chips: http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/257048/Now-salt-is-safe-to-eat
