It sounds like you have a problem accessing HTTPS sites ( As opposed to non secure Http sites ) . A search on google brought up the following link that gives some possible reason for this.

I has this problem a while ago, all i had to do was change my MTU to 1500 and it was resolved. Download SG tcp optimizer, back up your settings then click optimal settings, let it do it's business, restart and try againformerly mrmilo690
