Had a "sheet of newpaper" between the plate and the fish & chips at a "Hungry Horse" once - printed with fake headlines relating to their business, telling bad jokes (as in 'a horse went into a bar...'), etc. It was much smoother than proper newspaper, probably so the print didn't come off.
Don't know whether that would be any use to you - they would be working on a much bigger scale and may not be willing to divulge their suppliers2021 - mission declutter and clean - 0/20210 -

It looks like we are going to have to have a 'blank' sheet inbetween as to get something printed for 60 people is going to cost a fortune
