are the ikea kitchens the same as other makes, no better or worse to fit?

We have done quite a few Ikea kitchens. IMHO they are easy to assemble and fit. The base units go right back to the wall, so nice and deep inside. And the wall units are deeper than most too.

If you need to run any pipes, you can do it at floor level in the plinth space, better/easier than cutting through the units.

We are very pleased with our Ikea kitchen. The only thing to note (and it is not a negative) is as has been said above, the Ikea floor units are the full 600mm deep meaning that a standard worktop will give you no overhang. We bought breakfast bar (bushboard) and had it cut down to our required depth.

has anyone had ikea plan there kitchen we are hoping to get up there tomorrow night and sit with someone to see if there is another way of using the space that we have.

My wife and i planned ours with their online tool and then went through it with the guy in store. He was very helpful and suggested some good changes.

We are very happy with our kitchen and would definately recommend them

We also did the passing pipes under the plinth space for the washing machine.

How do the wall cabinets fit to the wall (its a plasterboard dot and dab) ive read various site suggesting putting battons under the cabinets to take the weight of them.

any tips for the ikea kitchen fitting?

    thanks

I always use these continuous rails. They are expensive but give you more chances to get a good wall fixing:
