I wouldn't bother talking to them anymore, i'd simply write a letter to payroll(keeping a copy - and also give a copy to your manager). If nothing is done, then i'd write to the head office.

They seem like a heartless bunch if you don't mind me saying :)

Have you suggested CHAPS? As mentioned you will get it the same day. Perhaps suggest that the losses you are incurring will dwarf the cost of a CHAPS payment.

good luck with this. i work for tescos and i should get 6 weeks at 90% pay and i have only got 3 weeks, my payroll dept said i wont get the missing money until i go back to work in April and my pay reverts back to store instead of head office as they can't sort out payroll errors at HO level when it relates to maternity pay.(maternity dept is in india and they are all stupid and can't add up, there are 6 of us on mat leave and not one us has been paid right this month!) my husband also never go paid his paternity pay and we told them that we needed the money to pay the morgage (not true but they didn't know that!) and they gave us £400 in cash from petty cash.
hope you manage to get it sorted

Sorry you work for Tesco not Tescos

I too work for Asda & when I changed bank account once I filled in the form, which I filled in correctly & like you, it wasn't entered correctly, I think they got one number of the account number wrong. Anyway my wages didn't go in, the reason was identified as being Asda's fault, my form was checked & showed i'd filled it in correctly, I was going back & forth to the bank & work, both were blaming the other. I even pointed out that they give customers a £2.00 gift card for an overcharge so why can't they even lend me that! Anyway in the end I told the bank I could tell them the exact account number it'd gone into & that it'd show it came from Asda & was in my name, they tried to say it would've been returned but I said not until the end of the working day surely? In the end the bank checked things out & paid it into my account the same day. I was so mad that it was Asda's error & if customers aren't given cashback, they get it the next day, if someones overcharged they get a giftcard right then, but if we aren't paid it's ok to leave us without a penny for a week or longer. To me they should petty cash the full amount & notify Asda House to not pay it back into the account. You have my sympathy especially at xmas it's terrible. I need to change my bank details but didn't dare until after xmas in case of another problem!
