  • switching between wraps, sandwiches, crackers, pitas, scotch pancakes etc can stop things getting boring. I also wouldn't put too much in at first as they can get quite overwhelmed in reception at wanting to eat and get out at the same time as their friends.

I buy little plastic tubs and throw in whatever we have- strawberries, cherries, cucumber, raisins, cubes of cheese- whatever we have in the fridge that I know will get eaten.

I refuse to stress over lunch boxes being 100% balanced and perfect as they're only 5 meals out of 21 in a week and I can make up for any lack of goodness in their other meals.

  • quorn do a range of sandwich meat, or is the texture the problem

    i second all the above.

Egg sarnies, omelette chopped into pasta and salad

Sardines in tom sauce mixed through rice/pasta/noodles for the omega 3.

Cheese (of various forms) and marmite sarnies

Jam, choc spread, marmalade, honey sarnies

yog, hm flapjack/cake/scones etc rice cakes

as a dinner, what about soya mince, i use it to bulk out regular mince, but my lot would also happily eat it as a veggie meal like quorn.
