Trust me I had the same response from the Metro Centre and stores I visited where mine was taken, not enough time to go through it more like! I can believe that is the response you got, but maybe not that they don't have any!

But thats crazy! Brassic could tell them to the nearest 5 minutes when stuff was taken surely!

Hmmm, it's Hawkins Bazaar, they only open at Christmas. I guess the Police will investigate that avenue though, hopefully they'll get more luck than me!

Just read your other post SS, and yes, I reckon I could be pretty good with timings as I phoned dh nearly straight after so that'll come up on my phone or at least the bill. I was in a bit of a state for a while, so couldn't say off the top of my head...

  • oh Brassic honey - what a terrible experience. You are in my thoughts mate and as earlier post likelihood is they will be high on crack over Christmas while you'll have your family with you.

    Take care

  • Oh Brassic, only just seen this. Sending you a big ((hug)) as it sounds like you need it. I'm glad you didn't lose more and rest assured that what goes around comes around and the scumbag who took your bag will suffer in some way.

Oh my god, I can't believe it. Two of the staff from the pub I work at just came round with an envelope with cash in from them and some of the regulars to cover what's been lost. And it does, almost to the penny :O I'm sitting here in tears now - how lovely is that?!?!

I'm not sure what to do, I want to make sure they know how much I appreciate it.

    What lovely lovely people :A

Been racking my brains - perhaps I could bake them all some christmas shaped shortbread, dipped in chocolate?

That sounds like a lovely idea, what a nice gesture. I had a friend from a support group bought my son the submarine which was stolen amongst other items, and sent it up for me, repaid her as soon as I got the money through, one I bought was the last one in stock in all local stores. I cried when it arrived, didn't know she had done it. Amazing what a difference people having one less drink (what we usually suggest when having a whip round) can make.
