I had to fight like mad to get xmas day off this year. In the end I was given 5 days - 23-27th so felt a bit guilty that I had been given so much in the end. However I'm back on the 28th, 30th - 4th Jan so no new years celebrations for me.
I did half contemplate working an extra shift over the 5 days I now have off but it didn't go down too well with my family!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -
I'm off Christmas Day/Boxing Day but I get paid for both those days so i'll get paid for a normal week but I'm working New Years day which I'm happy about because it's time and a half *mmmm £10.65ph* and I also get a day in lieu.0

Well, I have been celebrating my first ever Christmas not working in retail (although I have a telephone interview lined up on thurs to go back as a Branch Manager  )
However, I am working Christmas Day....sadly, I can't say it'll do anything for my debt, as I (like my collegues) have to do it for nothing. Oh the fun. But at least I work from home, so I won't be missing out. Proud DFW Nerd 135 :cool:Sealed Pot Challenge - 0190 -
I'm working on AQA at the moment. I'm not planning to do any tomorrow, but I will do 4 or 5 hours on Boxing Day. I'm then back to work to my full time job on Wednesday/Thurs/Fri. I'll probably work on AQA on New Year's Eve also.
