I have to work all day today. sleep in and then work til 11am tomorrow not cos I have too for money but because I have to as it is part of my job. Our clients (adults with disabilities) still need support whether it is christmas day or valentines! But is not like work at all... how many people can say that they get to watch christmas films, go to the cinema and eat nice food and be paid double bubble?! I can!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0

I have to work all day Boxing day (retail) and really don't want to ... I am a single mum and ex doesn't want ds while I'm at work so he is going to my Mums. I know he'll have a great time but it breaks my heart that I have to work at Christmas and daddy would rather spend the time with new girlfriend than with his 3 year old child!
Also have just found out that public transport doesnt start till 8.30 and I have to be there by 9 and it takes an hour and a half to get there !! Aaaagh !!!!Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
 Mortgage Overpayments Pot £15870

Ahh, what a lovely job. I took some children from school to see santa and needed a recipe for the school office. I came back with one written on an envelope, signed by an elf. :rotfl:0

How horrible for you. I am a single parent and know how frustrating an ex's priorities can be. As the children get older they see this for themselves. I feel I am still sheilding my 14 year old from her dad's selfishness. She does appreciate the effort I put in, and although she loves her dad, she doesn't think too much of his parenting.
Your son will enjoy his day with your mum. Keep back a Christmas parcel for him to unwrap once you have left, that way there is still something special on boxing day.0

Thanks for your replies folks. That's my London run done & dusted & home safely. Celebrating DD's 15th today & then they're going back to their Mum's later & spending Christmas day there. (Yes, more step family arrangements!). I've only a fairly short run on Christmas day night, then a few hours delivering the South Wales Echo on Boxing day & then all off to watch "Night At The Museum".
