i sold my wii on the day it came out.

had one pending one (and the woman wanted to cancel it as soon as i bought it but it showed to me as pending)

one where i relisted as it showed stock as zero (this was when 1st was pending)

and then a final one where i relisted again and it sold.

emails took about a day to come through to say SOLD. and my amazon account shows 2 sales and 1 refund, to get down to my net position of 1 sale.

i had to request to be able to sell my 360 last year, so i assume there is some trigger to investigate high selling merchants. but as long as money is showing in your payments account, its as safe as it can be.

burnout babe that is almost exactly what happened to me all 3 times!

when the first two I had went on on the day of release a few people got click happy and thought they were purchasing for the £179.99 RRP so asked me to cancel but some of them were not showing in my account for about 1 day, then there were some more that were pending which amazon eventually cancelled, some went through which I had to cancel and it was a complete nightmare.

Now when I listed the 3rd one the other day it sold 4 times! 1st person wanted to cancel, I agreed to sell to 2nd person and had to refund the 3rd and 4th people.

I was also missing numerous emails from Amazon, I never did get some of the confirmed order emails so it was a good job I kept an eye on my seller account throughout the whole ordeal.

I think part of the underlying problem here is the Amazon system 'over selling'. I was one of the people that posted on the other thread when this happened to me, Amazon sold the same book twice in 10 days.

It also happened to me about 2 months rpeviously when a book I had sold a long while earlier turned up again in my listings, but by one strange co incidence I actually noticed it and cancelled it.

    update:

reply from Amazon to my email sent Friday evening

    "Greetings from Amazon.co.uk,

Please know that we are researching the information you’ve recently
provided and working to resolve this process as quickly as possible.
We remind you again that your funds may be reserved for up to 30 days
in your Amazon.co.uk selling account, although most sellers are able
to establish a successful presence and have funds released sooner than
    30 days.

Please contact us at merchant-review@amazon.co.uk with any further
    questions.

    Best regards,

    Merchant and Item Quality

I've just has a very quick response to my email i sent with tracking details

    "Greetings from Amazon.co.uk.

Thank you for providing us with tracking information. At this time
our review is not complete. We will evaluate the information that you
provided to us and respond accordingly. Further information that
could help expedite this review may include disclosing other sales
channels through which you sell or providing other information of your
    past experience in such sales.

It is important that you continue to fulfill your orders and only list
items that you will be able to deliver during this process. We look
forward to your continued cooperation in this matter but do remind you
that funds can be held for a maximum period of 30 days. Many sellers
are able to minimise this time by cooperating with the merchant review
process and quickly establishing a successful presence on Amazon.co.uk.

    Best regards,

    Merchant and Item Quality
    Amazon.co.uk"

Much as I think Amazon is a great platform to sell through, I don't think it's any of their business where else you choose to sell - cheeky blighters!!!

I think what they are saying, is that you have moved out of your normal sales pattern into a new area (I imagine Wiis have a flag on them as well that will alert Amazon) Basically Amazon are just covering their backsides.

As a seller have you ever had a charge back? I haven't but I know of two occasions where Amazon have taken a hit on my sales.

You will just have to go with the flow.

As for selling more than your quota that is the joy of the Amazon pending system, I sometimes haven't a clue how many of an item I have sold and have to tread warily which can be a pain especially at this time of year when you are trying to shift everything before Christmas.

I have only had one attempted charge back in the summer, 2 months after i had sold and sent the item (an xbox game). I had not heard a thing from the buyer. Amazon said someone had done a Visa chargeback and they required a copy of my proof of posting to put a stop to it. I sent them a scan of the proof of posting, no money was taken from me and i never heard anything about it again. Also no reply to my email to the buyer asking why he had not contacted me if he hadn't received the item.

I am wondering if all this is due to me having sold 10 Wiis in the past 2 weeks, (although I only had 3 to sell and the others were either refunded by me or cancelled by amazon)
