    Hello all,

Firstly I would like to say thank you for all the wonderful advice I have received over the last few months.

I have been taking your advice and thought it's about time I registered so I did.

I have recently had a few problems at tesco and took your advice and thought i'd make a complaint.

I am stuck now and don't know if I can take this any further and wanted to know if you have any advice.

Here are my emails and responses:

    My E-mail:

    Dear sir/madam,

I have just been to your tesco in Wembley (Brent Park), and after having a conversation with the Customer service manager it seems that things are worse.

I tried to use a coupon from the this water website and a ariel voucher and they would not even entertain looking at it. I asked for the transaction to be cancelled, it took a while so I had other tesco customer heckeling me as to why I was wasting there time. I did not say anything and could said something back and of course the cashier and supervisor said nothing. I have the receipt for you to look at.

I was also told that tesco stopped taking any coupons a few weeks ago, I have used coupons in the last few days in the same tesco!!!!! Even after being assured that there would be no problems by the CSM (Wayne), I think I am wasting my time coming to tesco's as I do not like being insulted.

Also I did not realise that ASDA would take my tesco coupons, and also my shopping was cheaper!!! I think Tesco needs to get rid of the price checker as it is no good you issueing a voucher if your stores don't accept them..

Why do your policies change everyday???

    Response:
Further to my email of this morning, please accept my apologies for the delay in my reply, I was waiting for a reply from Mr Hill the store manager.

I have looked into the use of the This Water Voucher, and these are acceptable in our stores, as long as it is only one coupon per day per customer. The ariel voucher should also have been acceptable as well, allowing you a discount of £1 off your purchase.

Mr Hill and his assistant Wayne have asked me to let you know that they will both be happy to assist you with the use of your vouchers when you are next in the store.

Thank you for bringing this matter to the attention of our Chief Executive’s office and I do hope that this has gone some way to restore your confidence in Tesco.

    Kind regards,

    Elizabeth Johnston
    Customer Services Executive

There was no e-mail, is that it????

Thanking you in advance for your help.

    myturtle,

Thanks, but for the moment don't feel like it. Well after going to Tesco I went to Asda and I told the cashier what happened and she asked to see them. She then had a word with the cashier supervisor and said they'd take them on this occasion. Only one thing I did not ask them if they would take it. The cashier was just really nice.
From there e-mail it seems they don't value shoppers but know we would come if there was a bargain...

    £3 off £10 top up
    £8 off £20 top up

no idea about these, i may sound thick but need to ask
are these like other top up cards?
    is it international calls only?
can it be any provider or is it just for people with tesco

    TIA

i recently had a reply about this from Tesco CS
who said 1 per transaction ( but they also said this has always been the case)

As per usual, they haven't told their store staff then! The staff I've been served by seem to work on the 'if you've got it, I'll scan it' premise! (and long may it last)

That's awful! Making up the rules as they go along.

When I do bulk shops I usually get 20+ of a thing to last me but the important thing I have leaned: profile the cashier!

Don't go by queue length, walk up and down them all until you find a cashier who's a young male, just wants to get on with the job, doesn't want any hassle and is easily charmed with a wink and a smile. Yes I know it's bad but I'm learning to go to great lengths to get what I want lol

If my store limited me to just 3 coupons I might even considered having a wardrobe malfunction if it would help :o

I am a little too old for wardrobe malfunctions:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I actually went to my fav cashier, a middle aged man, who's not usually a bother, but this particular supervisor has been watching me use coupons a few times now and decided she was putting my shopping through, so took over and the SA had to stand and watch.

Will let you all know what the reply is.

Fascinating. I would write to Tesco HQ and ask about this maximum of 3 only policy, name the store and time you were in and describe the supervisors if you didnt get their names. I am sure it must keep HQ amused the decidely mad policies that stores come up with to stop people actually buying anything instore.
My store had a notice on the wine aisle which said the store had a bulk buying policy of 6 items only :rotfl: So I asked at CS and they said that you would have to put in a special order if you wanted more than 6 bottles. They must have had a tee total boss at that time :D

Well, let me tell you about today..

She announced that you can only buy 3 bottles of shampoo as its on offer, and when another supervisor joined her they said there is now a 3 identical items policy in place. So anything you want 6 of tough. The two of them then announce there is also a 3 coupon policy in place now as well.:eek:

Lets just say, I have asked the ceo of tesco when they are putting a wopping big sign outside tesco saying that if you want 3 of something come in. If you want 4 of one thing, tough, go to asda.:(

Tell him to pay particular attention to my store - they've got a big sign saying 'maximum 18 per customer' (thats on the Princes juices currently on offer).

Thank you very much to Genmod55 for her honesty and her pm:T:T:T:T, it's a shame others could not be so honest.

I mistakenly put a link to my palmolive coupon on this thread instead of a link to my supermarket. I sent my palmolive link in an email to my googlemail account so that my other computer that has a printer attached to it could print it. I did not know that I hadn't copied the my supermarket link and so had posted my coupon link and people have been able to print the coupon with my name on it. 11 people had thanked my post with the link, plus there will have been others who haven't thanked and I cannot believe that a few of them didn't click on the link.

This is the last time I am going to post either a coupon or any help/advice on here as I am so angry that some people have printed a coupon in my name and not even told me :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: except for genmod55 who sent me a pm.

I just hope that for them who have printed my coupon it is worth it for what coupons you may miss in the future:(:(:(:(

So sorry to hear what happened hun. Unfortunately I hadn't clicked on your link, as I got the email myself today and had already looked on mysupermarket, otherwise of course I would have let you know. ((hugs))
