I know someone who worked for a cosmetics company and said that aqueous cream was as good as any of the moisturisers which sold for loads of money in the department stores. LIDL moisturisers are good. I buy the one in the blue tub for £2 (it's a bit greasy but would be great for very dry skin as its quite thick).

Does anyone know of a non-smelly olive oil? I like using it for shaving but my face smells like Stavros's Kebab Shop after doing so.

First time posting so be gentle with me.
I have what is politely known as mature, dry skin and suffer from rosacea sometimes. When I visited a dermatologist years ago he suggested using aqueous cream (I say AY) as a cleanser (rinse off with water) and Diprobase cream as a moisturiser. The latter comes in an enormous pump action pot that lasts me almost a year or a small tube which I carry in my travel bag. They are both very reasonably priced. I checked with the Dr and he said they were both ok to use on a longterm basis.

    Hi Scrapmate,

    Welcome. :)

As this is an eight year old thread and we now have a Health and beauty board I've moved it over there where it should get more replies.

  • If you are looking for good and effective moisturizers then you must try argan oil. Its richness in vitamin E and omega 6 will take care of your complete skin health. You can buy it online at reduced price and save money too.

I've always used Nivea and find it to the best all over moisturizer, especially on my face and it's not too expensive!

Aldi's day and night cream are apparently the same product as Estee Lauders creams!

Antiwrinkle black tube and their day moisturiser cheap enough to try and I can practically gauarantee you will like them. Please post if you do.

yup, I can second this. My sis is currently using their eye cream which is in a pump container to keep it fresh. She likes it and it cost £1.99. I've used their night cream which was under £3 and that too was good, rich but sank in quickly so it didn't stain sheets and pillow case
