Natwest select silver account

Good evening,

Spoke to Natwest this evening in regards to opening a additional current account. I have a step account but didn't want to open the new branded 'Basic account' due to the ATM Withdrawal limitations. So the adviser said I could apply for the select silver account without the credit facilities I.E Cheque book and overdraft. For Eight pounds it's good value for money with all the benefits you recieve. In my opnion it's better than advantage blue for only an extra £1.05 pcm. One of the better changes Natwest has made in my OP And this could be a better answer than having the basic account with restrictions. The select silver has no limitations.:)
It takes two to tango!:rotfl:

It's worth it if you value what you are paying £8pm for. We'll have to see how it goes will it being closer to the Gold account than the previous Blue/Royalties accounts in terms of both price and benefits.

I quite like the select silver account, I may even consider moving to it.

well, I'll be more cautious as I'd be spending real cash on it! just need to work out if I'd actually use the downloads and rentals. I don't use that many of either.

Yourbank told me I can only have one packaged :O -

There is "workaround" though heh - (I've actually got 2 :p;))
Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion :p

They don't know what they're talking about. When I opened my joint account I only wanted a basic account and I was told I could only have the Gold!

I suspect this is another example suitable for the banks selling thread.

I think that's true - I got told the same thing when I wanted to open a joint second account. If I wanted non-packaged, then I'd have to open it using the other channels.

I'm assuming they'd have to apply any overdraft though.
