I got one with Lloyds TSB as my debt wasn't linked to them- I have direct debits and standing order facilities and a debit card.0

Another vote for Nationwide hereDo not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0

We have gone with first direct but did not tick the box that asked if we are in an iva. We aren't yet! I have been assured that this will be ok. All our direct debits are just going through at the moment. We just stated that we didn't want the overdraft and have a visa debit card. All done online in 10 minutes. Oh and £125 in cashback0

Wookiemummy. I am afraid there is a very good chance that First direct will close your account as soon as you appear on the register. They regularly trawl this and are very IVA intoleranr ( as are HSBC).0

I hope not my ip has said it will be fine... You've got me worried now0 -
Which IP are you with ? I am surprised he / she doesn't know this. Anyway -- if they do catch on ( some have got away with it) they will give you 30 days notice, so no need to panic.0

I am with payplan. God I feel sick now... Everything was sorted and now it's all upside down again. Is it worth my doing something now whilst my credit rating is good? So far we haven't missed any payments. Why on earth would a bank not want you to bank with them if you are paying in over £3000 a month with no overdraft facility?
I really hate this iva process and just wish there was another answer. It's a huge roller coster which I have absolutely no control over!0 -
Co-Op are pretty good, as are several mentioned above. I have accounts with Co-Op and with Nat west (went on an opening spree before my IVA). To be honest the co-op one does everything I need -- just keep a couple of quid in Natwest to use cheques when needed.
You can pick up lots of tips over on https://www.iva.co.uk --- an IP from payplan posts there too.
It's a palaver setting everything up -- but once you settle in everything will get better, I am sure.0 -
hi, we are with co op,they were quick&easy. you can sort this out don't panic but you do need a account away from who you owe £ too to protect your cash.
you can open a co op account over the phone, they have 24 hr service so ring them tonight. they are iva friendly. tel customer service
