Energy company rings me despite me asking for no more calls

Every day, and sometimes twice a day, a certain energy company phones me asking do I want to switch my energy supply to them. Its been going on for 10-12 days. I am sick and tired of them phoning me. I have asked them everytime they phone me, not to call me again and to remove my details off their list. Today, I said F Off to them. They have tried on other occasions as when I get home from work etc, I always dial 1471.

What else can I do? I don't have caller display. I cannot change supplier as I'm tied to a contract til Feb next year and pay £80 penalty.

Instal a digital answering machine with a greetings message saying you do not accept calls from telesales companies. Leave it switched on 24/7 and that way you can screen all incoming calls and decide which ones you want to pick up.

Why don't you just change your energy supplier to the one they want you to change to? Job done. Or failing that emigrate.

I would not be without caller display.

Who is your phone provider ? BT offer a service called 'Choose to refuse' which bars calls from your chosen numbers.

The first thing I would do is start a thread about it on MSE.
