is this the best deal i'll get on vodafone ?

ok, so i've been with voda for a good few years now, i'm not a big user and so am not looking for a massive contract. i've also never had a problem with them although a lot of stuff i read says they're customer care isnt great.
I 'm a virgin home customer so qualify for some good mobile deals, but i told voda to see what they'd do to keep me.
i finally got to the point of getting my pac on saturday and yes, today i got the retentions call.
virgin would do me Nokia N8 - 250 mins, unltd text and 1 gb of data - for £15 a month for 2 years.
finally the best retentions deal was a HTC desire for £20 cash, 300 mins, unltd txt and a gig of data. this would be £20 a month, with a £5 reduction for the full term so effectivley £15 a month (again 24 months). they'd also give me £51 credit for my old nokia 5800 so effectively the HTC would be free and the first 2 months are free. Now i know there are better deals if you go down the cash back route, but i want simplicity, a decent phone and no crazy prices - so do i go for the virgin deal or the Voda deal?.
i like voda - never had a problem and they've stepped up to the plate in terms of what i think is a good deal ?

any thoughts gratfully recieved.
cheers
cheap

I'd say they're good until something goes wrong. I've been with them for 7 of the last 10 years and never had any problems until this year. I'm on my second complaint and the customer service just disappears.

You said it yourself, your not a big user.

There is no benefit to being loyal therse days it's purely on your spend.

Go for whats cheapest to you, don't think about loyalty, Vodafone won't, All customer service cna be good and bad, depends who you get to.

If you are not a big phone user Tmobile have a deal on at the moment for £10 pm- 100 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet and free LG Optimus satnav phone. I guess it depends how important a specific recent model phone is to you.
Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!
  • Result - decided to stay with voadfone, but when the guy rang back, he didnt actually fully remember the details he offered me and his notes werent that great.
so when he said that the handset was free. i snapped his hand off.
i'll trade back my old phone (£51) and that'll pay for the first 3 months, effectivley making the contract £13 a month for the term.

yes i know there is better out there, but i'm happy

    thanks for the comments
