Help needed to unlock an NEC616V

its on this 3pay thingy and want to use o2. but for some reason cant find anyone who knows how to unlock it!!

yes, there are 2 ways to unlock it

1) with a modified USB cable that comes with the phone and some software from a fourum called "Spunlock", it is quite involved to do though !!

2) by code , this is done by downloading a bit of software to the phone that reads some info from the phone then connects to the internet to generate your unique code, also available from the same forum but many other places now, about £15-20

Can anyone help me to unblock my phone? I've heard that phones connected to 3 are a little more difficult to unlock. Have used the information on here to unlock an old Nokia and it worked first time so huge thanks for that.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Have moved your post to this thread but as you can see unlocking your phone is not as simple as unlocking a Nokia Hope you find the info you are looking for.
