  • Forgot to add that i did the weekly shop today- which came to £25 exactly :) I am going to picking up a sack of potatoes this week but other than that i have plenty of meat and veg to last me for a while.

Busy week ahead of me, not looking forward to tomorrow but that is only because i have some decisions to make..and i don't like giving bad news..

Gran is not getting much better, but still won't see a doctor. I feel a bit mad about it really but can understand why she doesn't.
    So an interesting Monday tomorrow.

    Night all. x

    Hi Bob,

sorry for long absence, just working my way round the diaries.

What a horrible start to the week, but glad to see it improved. Do hope your grandmother isn't making things worse for herself, skin becomes very thin & fragile with age - my grandmother is the same age & often has horrible bruises. Maybe a tonic might help to give her a boost ?

Hope DD is recovered as well,

Fingers crossed for the 1p CC underpayment

    DD has recovered well thanks.

Thanks for the tip about the tonic for gran, not something i had thought of. She used to love any attention from the docs or hospital- the only reason i can think of, is the fact that she can no longer smoke in hospital. She is a heavy smoker and gets through 30 a day i reckon.:o

Not had time to ring CC company yet. Will do so now while i think about it.

I have been building up a stock cupboard Bast- so that helps reduce overall costs.:D I have the basis for lots of meals and plenty of freezer stuff. I do have to buy things like milk, etc..so will see how that goes. Currently we are also taking sandwiches as well- so although bread bill has gone up slightly( and i use a bm) it is a good saving as we are having lots of NSD as well as hammering down Mr. B's overdraft:money:...Good times:D

Yes i agree about them being laws unto themselves, Mr.B's parents are the same age and of the same ilk- she has recently had a knee replacement and is slowly getting there, but does make life hard for herself as well..been driven to distraction with worry about them all recently.
