dead bloody flies

I have a brand new car with metallic paint and have noticed that when I hit flies they leave a bloody splodge on the paintwork, which is not easy to get off with car wash shampoo and a sponge.

And in this hot weather the splodges seem to be baked on.

I have used different car wash shampoos but I still need to rub hard, which I don't want to, in case I damage the paintwork.

Any suggestions for getting them off my car easily?

And suggestions to stop them sticking?

Give the car a good wax or polish. Then when they hit it is a power washer to blast it off easy or a rub for stubborn ones!

Keeping it polished regularly will allow things to slide off easily. Flies, underwear models and the like...

I agree - decent wax and sealant.

Try a little washing powder in warm water.

I use fairy liquid and water in a squirty bottle. Then a blast with the jet wash. The washing up liquid seems to loosen the bugs nicely. Also very good for use on the windscreen when the normal screen wash wont shift the bugs.

As above really once off clay and polish the car to help next time.

G101 from autosmart is pretty good for removing stubborn marks

Fairy Liquid will dissolve any wax applied to the paintwork. If your car is older then it will aid it when it rusts as it contains salts.

You can get special bug removing spray from wilkos and the like. Don't know if its any good though. I wouldn't put fairy liquid (or hair shampoo, or anything else like that) anywhere near my bodywork as viking says.
