My experience relates to my van, which has very little wax on the bonnet. The advise is good for shifting bugs, which was the OP question.vikingaero wrote: »Fairy Liquid will dissolve any wax applied to the paintwork. On my motorcycle, I spray on Muck Off or something similar. Then I take an old bath towel, dunk it into really hot water (use rubber gloves), lay that across the flyspecked area. Wait ten minutes, remove the towel, wash it off and voilà...0

I use Astonish Tar & Bug remover. Places like Wilkos sell it - I got mine from the pound shop, cost me ..... £1, oddly enough For a 750ml spray bottle. Seems to work well enough, and for that price you can't argue. 0 For a 750ml spray bottle. ^^ Just use an old tea towel instead of a sponge on the front of the car, it's abrasive enough to remove bugs without scratching the paint and if it's old, then it's technically FREE “I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.” “I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I've used these products in the past, highly recommended. I have no affiliation to the company.:A0

Baby wipes! I drive 500 miles each weekend and my car is white so it's been a nightmare recently. Baby wipes are better than any bug spray for some reason. A quick rub and they come straight off!
I haven't tried 'value' wipes yet but supermarket own brand work just fine.House saving Targets:
