Asda online personality test rejection

I use to work at Asda as a student. It's easy working your way round the personality test, just tell them what you think they want to hear! Asda like people who have lots of personality, they like checkout operators to chat to the customers, not be stony faced. Although sometimes I was on automatic when I was doing a long or late shift.
If you want to be a miserable checkout operator work at Tesco!!!0 -
Has anybody else received a job rejection from ASDA - or indeed from any other retailer - following failure to successfully pass these ridiculous, lengthy online personality questionnaires?
They aren't ridiculous if they weed out unsuitable people are they?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

They are ridiculous though. As if anybody ever tells the truth on these things. You just have to know what they wanna hear.0

Just because you're not suitable for this job doesn't mean you won't be suitable for another - you can't lose heart in this market so chin up, keep motivated and keep going. There is a job out there, you just have to be patient and do what you need to do.0

I passed the personality test and got an interview. It was group, where most of the questions revolved around which cartoon character, pop star etc. we would like to be and why. Everyone but me showed up in trackies & trainers and one of the women (who got hired, I was shopping there a month or so later and saw her working) was in pyjama bottoms, flipflops in November and a hoody.
Nope, I'm clearly not the kind of personality Asda is looking for. I think I'll live.Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
just applied for three different roles for three diffrerent people ie question do you tell lies ?????????? do you talk behind peoples backs tell me someone that doesnt! you obviously have to lie to pass the test !!!!!!!!!!!! not rocket science some american crap theyve dreamed up by the way one was for a 17 yr old who hasnt experienced life in the work place yet to make these kind of decisions. Get real asda i love warm friendly people , part of my role as a nurse is to make people feel welcome and less anxious , i have 18 yr s experience at this even i had difficulty answering these questions. Why because im human feel free to reply ,also rubbish system you have to apply for each role individually each job i appliedfor was for different roles same questions!!!!!!!0

surely the point in those tests is to prove your suitability for the job. if you failed all it means is you probably are not suitable, that isn't their fault.0

I told the truth on the questions and was rejected everytime, must have made possibly 5 or 6 applications using my main email address and another 10 id say using 2 other email addresses I have.0 -

i told the truth and i was rejected, the ones ive aplied for im suitable as ive done the same thing for a competitor so i could do the job with my eyes closed. One thing i hate about the application process is you dont get a chance to say why you think you would be suitable for the job. I can see why they have the process in place as its to weed out the naff ones and the more suited applicants.0
