Yes. Maybe they found out the OP actually had a personality.
Whatever makes the OP feel better I suppose.

Although boasting 'I was considered unable to adequately operate a supermarket checkout because I have too much personality' is unlikely to hold water with the majority of people. ;)

No, sorry, don't agree with you at all.

Thousands and thousands of people think these tests are ridiculous. End of.

It doesn't matter what you think of the test, it's Asda's recruitment process so you either complete it and pass, or go work elsewhere.

Judging by your posts, I can see why Asda rejected you.

If you had passed the test and got a interview which lead to a job offer would you still think that the test is ridiculous?

It was your choice to take the test and if you feel so strongly about it then avoid jobs where there are tests.

It's just sour grapes that the OP failed the test. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have no issue with people failing such tests, not everyone is suited for a career in customer service for whatever reason.

But calling the tests "ridiculous" simply because you've failed one smacks of toys being thrown out of the pram.

The tests can't be ridiculous as that would mean I was wrong, only I'm not, because I passed!

I've applied for 8 various roles with Asda in the past couple of weeks and have been knocked back for one of them.

I think the tests are fine, so long as you imagine you are working for Asda and put yourself in the same position the question is asking of you.

Maybe you failed on the Maths/numbers bit??

I am very depressed and angry at having just been rejected following an ASDA online personality test I had to do for just a simple Checkout Operator job. Furthermore, I can't apply to them again now for at least six months, which has only exacerbated my misery.

Has anybody else received a job rejection from ASDA - or indeed from any other retailer - following failure to successfully pass these ridiculous, lengthy online personality questionnaires?

Is it that time of the month already, jeez doesn't time fly...

Right Trugeho, here's a little friendly advice, try being less angry, being less agrieved at these tests & actually being HUMAN when taking them, you'd be surprised how quickly after that you'll find yourself in gainfull employment rather than acting the martyr on here for EVERYONE rejecting the one unemployed person in the UK who's PERFECT and has no character flaws.

Man they should give me Jeremy Kyle's job, or at the very least a judges slot on X-factor!

here is a standard question I use when I interview candidates.
