hi, i think this has been asked before so apologies. i have been given a .pdf file which i need to edit. does anybody know of any free software that will allow me to do this. the file is not copyrighted so that's not my concern here. thanks all

will do what you want but it's shareware...........which means free if you adhere to the terms of the license.
Basically, if you download the software, use it to edit your pdf and then uninstall the software, you're not breaking any laws.

then I suspect you'll not achieve what you want for free..................unless you're naughty and download full products and use cracks on them.

Assuming you are using Adobe reader, have you tried to use the text select tool, then copy and paste into a word processor programme.0

not that its any use now but office 2007 can create, open and edit pdfs
if you managed to get the 50 use copy from somewhere i.e. microsoft.com you could do it.
