Just send a letter to the manager of that homebase store saying that thanks to harassment by a contractor you shall no longer be shopping there and are considering legal action under harassment laws

Once could profitably run a search on the postcode.
    You will see a pattern.

Hmmmm...thought it looked a familiar PO Box!

UKPC, Highview, CP Plus, Creative Car Park Management, Total Parking Solutions...and now this 'Topher Ltd' all hiding behind the same PO Box.

Definitely a strong letter of complaint should be winging its way to ANY retailer stupid enough to allow their customers to be harassed by a private parking company. Obviously ignore the Parking Charge, Lizerazou, it is a scam and it's absolutely pointless to enter into any correspondence with the scum parasite operating there.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The PO Box is not the only common link across these companies - Denham Parade, Ballards Lane, Daws Lane and the Studio at Elstree figure. Creative is of course the PLC vehicle for a certain Mr Gary Wayne. Does this allow us to conclude that these are all in the end his companies? The one company we know to be his - Civil Enforcement - doesn't appear to have a link here yet.

Hmm, this is all very interesting! Thanks everyone for your comments and advice. And thank you Renegade, it's good to hear of your personal experience with Topher Ltd. Sounds like there may be lots of names for what is effectively the same company!

I am now feeling much more confident about ignoring this letter.

If I do receive any further correspondence, I will keep you all posted.

I like the way Gopher's stupid letter doesn't actually explain why they think the money is owed, or what the alleged contract stated.

Simply ignore. Nice ANPR set up though. I'd love to try and get a mooning photo and see if it comes back in the post!

Oh yes - if you get a passenger to pull her knackers down and stand feet apart on the front just for the few seconds you arrive, you'll get it. My friend drives past with his right arm out the window giving the up-yours sign and we've all seen the "evidence pictures". I don't think they care; they have in the past been stupid enough to send out PCNs to RKs whose vehicles were clearly seen leaving whilst towed away.

There is no basis for that conclusion.

    Hi again,
Thought you may be interested to see I have now received a second letter from Topher Ltd. which we received last Friday. Hopefully this works, I have omitted the http:// bit:

    If not, let me know..

Now they are suggesting non payment will affect our credit rating. We still plan to ignore, though it is unnerving to receive this follow-up!

    Thanks
    Liz
