I had my first delivery today too, though not as many parcels as that! I think I've got 5 items

Loads of mine said delivery in 4 or 5 weeks, do you think they will actually arrive or will they be out of stock really.

Before when I have shopped online in a sale and it says 2-4 weeks or up to 4 weeks etc, they have always arrived when stated.

I was lucky and got a VIP, but as a customer I am appalled by their lack of customer care and consideration. The VIP slot allotments are so rude. It is a complete lottery and so unfair on regular, good customers. They should release half stock for the VIP and half for the full sale (if they really consider it necessary to continue the ludicrous VIP system) I assume it has something to do with enormous traffic to the site. The current system means that good customers get to watch items they like fly out of stock and they have absolutely no chance of buying them.

The instore sale is worse than a Ryanair flight.

I visited a store by chance today at 10am, and the floors were clearing as most stock had gone. The staff were tired and very stressed and many had been at work since 4am-what an appalling treatment for valued staff. Come into work in the middle of the night and deal with more customers than you have the entire rest of the year. Greedy, ridiculous shoppers that then return huge amounts 2 days later. (Staff words not mine) It's wrong and should not be encouraged. If they started their sale at 9am or 5 pm the stuff would still sell out.

I went down to the store sale once...it was worse than a rugby scrum. I couldn't believe people's behaviour - snatching things out of other people's hands and barging people out of the way (I say "people" but it was all women!!!).

lol, i used to work for Next. The sales were HORRENDOUS, most people behaved like vaguely normal human beings but some people just go crazy:eek: We had 2 women nearly fighting over a jumper - get a grip people!!! People getting a proper nump on because the changing rooms arent open:naughty:

People used to return an unbelievable amount of stuff too, they would come on the first day of sale, buy huge amounts of stock then return 95% of it. Why not just buy what you want in the first place, surely you have a vague idea what fits you and your family?

Got some parcels this morning as well but I am quite disappointed as most didn't fit, I didn't go mad and order 2 sizes in each as I didn't want to have a lot of returns but I have a lot of returns anyway.
I don't understand how their sizes can be so different from one minute to the next, I ordered sandals in red that I already have in white so ordered the same size and they are far too big. Also ordered another pair of black flats for work, same size as I already have and they are far too small can barely get my foot in them.
Must look on the bright side and see it as saving money!
Aiming to completely pay off the credit card in 2012!

I only tend to buy what I actually like - preview it in the sale listings - but constantly find I'm having to buy something in two sizes to ensure that I actually end up getting something!! our little girl has just turned 4 is of average size but generally have to order her an age 5 or 6. Some things tend to be sized "small" whereas others are generous. Next stores in Norwich (Riverside and Haymarket) very civilised and very calm was at Riverside by 7am - perhaps I missed the rush!! Very pleased with what I have managed to get online and instore - first of many parcels delivered today. Will be looking later in the week to see what people have returned!! :)

Id like to see them restricting the VIP purchases too. I know of several people who just buy anything at all, as much as they can afford, purely to sell it on ebay.

Apparantly Next are looking at the possibility of limiting the number of items available per customer during the VIP slots, which personally I think is much fairer (and Im saying that as someone who had a VIP slot)

I've been to a few Next sales but this was my first early start. Maybe over here in Northern Ireland we are more civilized (yeah I know, everyone saw the rioting on the news this week :() but when the doors opened, people walked in calmly and even going upstairs to the home & mens dept behind a slightly slower lady, no-one was tutting or trying to barge through. No fights over clothes but I admit I went a bit mad with my spending. I have 2 young boys who I can't test clothes on beforehand but at least if it doesn't fit DS1, I can keep it for DS2 :rotfl:

Got some returns myself but only because the normal priced kids shoes were hanging with the sale ones and this I didn't notice.
