Evening all
I'm lurking at the moment, but 'in' in my own little way - thanks to FCC.
I think I've finally cracked babysteps and it's only taken me the best part of 2 years to get there.
For the last week or so I've done a little bit every day. I don't usually set a timer, but try to leave at least one small corner of the house a bit cleaner and tidier than it was before and it seems to be working. :j Progress is very slow, but steady.DS1 will be 18 next year and I'd love to be able to have a party for him at home, so that's my ultimate deadline.
Got to get on with work now, though.
ETA Huge hugs for jojo, rachel and anyone else with OH issues. Hope it's all sortable.

23 ebay dollops pic'd and ready to list... and there my motivation falters lol.
Apparently it looks like we have avoided a visit from OH's mum fo the next few weeks.. oh yeah *celebration dance around the house*
Hopefully (everything including my eyes crossed) it may mean we have a reprieve from going there in 2 weeks too... I would LOVE to stay home and get some more stuff sorted for the girls room.. I need to find a decorator or 3 for quotes this week.. and measure up for carpet... oooh this is exciting!!!! FINALLY getting their room done!
Now.. do I buy their new beds so the old ones can come down and be binned before the carpet goes in and the new ones built the same day (about 5th August for that).. Actually no.. I don't need to..
Beasts to KH's, beds down, room emptied and decorated.. 2 girls to church summer camp.. other 1 can sleep in with DD2.. carpet down maybe the 3rd August, beds up before the 5th and girlies can move back in when they are home on the Friday... hmmm... sounds feasible..
So.. before August I need 3 beds, a carpet, paint and a decorator... piece of cake..
The next project to save for is... new windows for DD2's room and the boys room.. and possibly the back room depending on how much I can save between now and then.. might ring for a quote actually..
I can't find my house document to put it on there.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Postponed cleaning until Wednesday as mum won't be coming up until Thursday now if she comes. However we have thoroughly tidied each room, or put another way OH has put loads of his junk away and I have persuaded him to get rid of some rubbish that has been cluttering various areas.toottifrootti wrote: »aj oh honey I am so sorry to hear your news about your Mum - I hope its a minor problem that will all be sorted before the weekend - lots of positive vibes for her health and your nerves. They are doing tests on her heart, lungs and liver. Not really sure how serious as my sister and dad are getting confusing messages from the hospital. Dad is still there at the moment so hoping to hear from him soon to get a better idea.
Not sure whether I am coming or going at the moment. Got waxing appointment tomorrow and then going to pick marriage schedule up. I have a lot of questions to ask just in case.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1530/£2700

Won't be getting any news tonight
dad home from hospital, mum is looking healthier and has one-to-one support doctor and nurse. They are still doing tests so no further along with knowing anything. I don't know what to do with myself.

A productive day i think!
Managed to do the downstairs shower room, so when it' bathroom day i will only have the one to do. I effing HATE doing the bathrooms.
I did a pile of ironing in my HHI nd i am going to do a bit more when i've posted too.
Feisty_Fairy, i only have two kids and when DS (my 2nd) was born i found it incredibly hard! I basically just gave up on housework until thing settled down. Good job on the breastfeeding! We are still going strong at almost 9 months and i hop to BF until a year like i did with DD.I was a poster here when i was pregnant with DS and then rejoined once he got to about 6 or 7 months. I wasn't ready to get organised until then. Those early days of BFing just take time. I remember the 45 minute feeds and the growth spurts one after the other. LOL! If i remember rightly it was about 4 months when DS suddenly started being done with his whole feed in about ten minutes. Now he only takes 5!
Frittered Away, we have terrible pink and black mould in our bath sealant. Basically it's down to the moisture in the air. Make sure you keep the room as dry as you can - open windows after a shower or bath etc. Ours is so bad it all needs taking out and replacing. It's going on the toots list, LOL!
aj, sending hugs. x

The only one who seems not to is the owner...not surprisingly. Though she is very good and cares a lot for the animals.
Briar House? Not anymoreused to be there with our dog as he had an ongoing bill and she'd let me pay it off weekly. The cats are at Pets at Home

Hello!
Ths week I'm going to:
-[STRIKE]wash window in my bedroom [/STRIKE]and living room
-[STRIKE]go to vets and buy a big bag of cats litter[/STRIKE]
-sort the loft; we had loft checked last week and we had to empty it. There's too much stuff from it, we have to sort it.
The last job is really big, so once This is done, I'll think about more.
