My wife tells me at her work they use a walk-in freezer and you need to keep the door open with a box to stop it from closing on you !she told me that the door did close on her once and she managed to kick the door open because it never locked on her( thank god ) but it is designed to do so. when she calls head office nothing is done...food has to be kept off the floor for health and safety reasons so the work had the floor decked out with those creats they carry bread into the shops with, well she has sprained her ankle, caught her shins, put her foot through them and even while carrying things placed her footing wrong and had one of those creats spring up and crack her in the back, sounds like a comedy but when you see the brusies and the pain she comes home in it aint funny, and again when she calls head office like the other workers nothing is done, i think one day they are going to wonder where she is hiding and they will be to late finding her in that walk in freezer WHY wont head office do anything????

If she has worked there over a year she has protection from unfair dismissal (for now, it is going up to 2 years) so she could raise a grievance about it and bring it to their attention.
I don't see why they don't get the door fixed, it can't cost that much! The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

Her first port of call is her manager not HO. TBH HO will just go of their managers say so because a supervisor is most likely just moaning over nothing and managers are paid to deal with this type of thingThe Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

i have photos on my phone where she has burnt her arm taking trays out the hot oven, burnt because they were told not to wear there white coats because it never matched with the rest of the workers work tops ( blue ) so the oven gloves dont cover her arm only half way along the forearm when she kicked up about the nasty burn someone said you should have wore your jacket then!! you dont know how close i am to going around and sorting out her manager, but that will only cause her grief again.... GRRRRR0
