Morning All (well, almost)
Well, we came to the conclusion that the visiting dog does not sleep in his cage at night but on someone's bed! Last night it was mine. After I left for work, DD text me to say that he wouldn't settle so she took him for another walk (3rd of the day). He then spent an hour or two looking for me and when she went to bed she put him in his cage where he howled so she took him to her room. When I came in about half 11 he was very pleased to see me and jumped on my bed where he stayed till 8 this morning!! Been for a long walk this morning as it will probably get too hot later and he's going home around 2.
There was a wedding on where I work which made a welcome change, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers were there outside the main venue and all the guests were on the balconies and steps - we had to stop of course to take in the atmosphere! We also met the bride and groom (she was absolutely beautiful). We were turning down their room and they came in so she could put her sore feet on the tiled bathroom floor. I got her a big box of ice so I hope she recovered for the dancing. Made an otherwise tough shift quite nice.
Hope you all have good Sundays and the sun is shining like it is here. Big hugs and positive vibes to those with worries, remember to look after yourselves too. Take care. XX0 -
Thank you for that list Hester, it has stopped me feeling inadequate, I reckon I could keep my family going for a while on that lot:D
I now have a urge to go out and buy some dolly mixtures!0 -
afternoon all!
(((hugs))) to all in need esp the 2 Jackies, Sistercas, Lou and Redruby x x x
Things a bit stressful here with DS1 and his partner, hoping we can help DS sort things out. His partner threatened suicide last night(again) and the police were called. They are both ok. We desperately want DS1 to move back home and try and sort his life out but we cant force him so just have to watch and wait and be ready to pick up the pieces.:(
Anyway enough of that - OS things now!
2 loads of washing
cars to clean(did inside last night)
using up the storecupboards like Hester and JackieO - need to try and have a tight month as lots of bills coming up.
Trying to have a restful day - got a new Karen Rose book for 50p at the carboot:T so when I've finished my Jodi Picoult I'll be starting that!:)
Mum is coming up tomorrow for a few days:j be nice to see her!
Just had some roasted veg cous cous for lunch - saved the rest for tomorrows lunch. Dinner tonight is Beef (reduced of course) for the chaps and either macaroni cheese or Quorn meatballs with HM tomato sauce for me(not decided yet)
Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Good Afternoon x
Hugs to those who need them and hope Lou gets out of hospital soon.
Im just back from a shopping trip to MK. I spent the whole time saying "Sorry" as I just seem to get in the way being on my mobility scooter. In the end the shop assistant dared me to stop saying it as she said I had every right to be there as much as the able bodied. I hate being at crotch height as people just dont see me and bash me with their handbags or walk into me and then scowl at me. Anyway we had to buy DS3 some clothes suitable for his work experience but got his favourite jeans with 75% off in Debs and some other bits. DD needed some jeans and found some in M&S (much to her surprise).
Taplady - I sympathise as I wish that my eldest son would also get his life sorted. We are always picking up the pieces and often wonder how much longer it will go on :eek::eek:
Another day to be just got through I think. Im having quite a few of them at the moment. Kids Dad and I are both tired and need a holiday. Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Afternoon all.
Had a good sing at church and thought of all of you, along with my precious family and several friends in need x.
Went down the garden when the 2DGSs arrived and we picked a large bowl of raspberries and a half bowl of loganberries and a half bowl of strawberries. We made made smoothies with half the fruit for the 2 lads and they loved them. DGS3 said it was delicious the best smoothie ever!! The boys really appreciate being able to pick, cut or dig up fruit & veg from the garden. DGS3 doesn't eat raspberries other than ones from our garden. The other half of the berries are in the freezer waiting for DGS1 and DD2 to come home, then they will be turned into smoothies for those two.
There must have been some nettles in with the strawberry leaves I think as the back of my hand is sore and tingling.
It has turned overcast and looks and feels like it might be stormy. Hopefully it will wait until everyone is safely back from footy.
Tappers - thinking of youand your son x
Hugs to those in need or want x
Cheers x xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Bargainbird Yet another person here who thinks that reggae reggae sauce goes with everything!
My favourite is to put it in a sausage and bean casserole, mind you I overdid it once and put too much in, the children were hopping round the kitchen trying to cool their mouths down:D0 -
TAPPERS hugs to your DS.Nobody need stress like that:(:("You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Afternoon All,
Special hugs to the Jackies, Lou, RR & Tappers x
Another one here just trying to get through the day. Had to sleep sitting up last night as something went twang in my back & consequently woke up with a stiff neck so have just spent a bit of time sitting in the sun & making plans for the garden. I have also done a freezer inventory & a loose meal plan of sorts. Today there is just three of us for dinner so have retrieved from the freezer some hf roasties, swede, cabbage, cauliflower cheese & the remaining mince from fridays mince cobbler. I shall make a couple of large yorkies for the boys to pad it out a bit & there's half a tin each of peas & sweetcorn in the fridge so that should do them.
Mmm dolly mixtures
Hugs, spoons & hi5's x
