A spend day for me today due to direct debits and getting my hair cut! I doubt I'll do one tomorrow either as I can feel a liquid gold purchase coming soon!

3 spend days in a row for me

On Tuesday I spotted some bargains in the staff canteen which were just toooooo good to miss out on..... 3 packs of mint pengvin bars (15p a pack) and 5 packs of ech0 bars (10p a pack). Hoped and prayed a D/Debit had gone out of the bank, but no it wasn't to be - so I lost an NSD for cheap chocolate fixes (and I don't care at those prices )

Was rather pleased to discover (on getting home from work yesterday with more goodies) that a D/Debit did go out - meant I didn't feel as bad about my purchases (which included a bag of G.Smith apples down to 55p, a fresh pineapple down to the same, a piece of reduced coley fillet - which I home breaded using crumbs from the slicer in the bakery - and some frozen mixed veg, fresh nectarines, bramley apples and raspberry ripple ice-cream from A!di)

Didn't think to check my account before leaving for work today as I was on a 4-9 shift - and officially we can't shop if on duty. But when the butcher came across fairly late on to borrow the machinery I was using to reduce some items he'd missed earlier I sulked I wouldn't be able to get any - and he said the manager who was on allows it. So the butcher put one of the items into his fridge for me, and just before 9pm I got the OK to 'grab a couple of bits'. So I now have a 1.5kg boneless shoulder of pork joint in my fridge - originally priced at £3.98, but you all know I wouldn't sacrifice an NSD unless it saved me a lot of money...... it was that late being reduced it was taken straight down to 99p, which became 90p after staff discount :T
(there was a heavier one, but it had waaaaaay more fat, so at that price I just picked out the leanest looking one)

Got home and checked my bank account - and discovered the last of my D/Debits for the month went out today anyway. So I'd have been kicking myself if I'd passed up on the joint


So I still need to get 2 more NSDs to hit my target, and I'm not at all sure how tomorrow's looking (or what to count it as)......

I've got an appt with my PT in the morning, and he'll need paying - but I've taken the money out of the bank on my way into work today rather than using a cashpoint near the gym like I did last week, so it's already tucked away ready to pay him. As such I'm guessing I could count tomorrow as an NSD as long as I don't spend anything else?


Next week looks fairly promising for getting a head start to August though Working my normal 7-5, 7-4, 1-5 on Mon, Tues, Wed, and was asked several weeks ago if I could do 7-5 rather than 1-5 on Thur. But on Tuesday I was asked if I could do 7-5 on Friday as well, which I wasn't sure about as I was expecting to book back in with my PT for that morning. So when I got my break I gave him a call and asked if he had a slot on Wed morning instead, and he did (but 10am instead of my 9am preference so that I have plenty of time to get ready for work). Went back in after my break and said I'd do Friday morning, but would rather do 7-4 than 7-5 (as I expect to be totally shattered by then!) which was agreed to So I don't have a lot of opportunity to spend anything next week, other than as I leave work each day and I'm really trying to work on making more space in my freezers (having just filled the space I've made in the last couple of weeks with the ice-cream I bought yesterday lol)

Sorry to hear its been grim up north (weatherwise) today - home counties are basking/baking in sunshine. Fingers crossed it stays for next week as we have friends visiting and i can see it becoming a bit cramped if we're stuck indoors all week.

Well today as expected wasn't a NSD, caterpillars needed taming then I popped into Wilko. Purchased another storage box (£3.50 from £6) some cotton wool (boring, but essential for us gals ) and thanks to a very helpful SA rooting around out back for me, the last two men's sanex deo's on 1/2 price offer (they'd taken the promo off display so I imagine it will all be full price tomorrow), plus 50p off each, grand sun of 14p each! :j Total Wilko spend £4.44

however, i also took back the tap washers we couldn't use - which was my only spend last fri, so conversly I have still achieved NSD 13 :j

Day off tomorrow - yippeeee! but need to get house ready for visitors, then a spendy day indeed on sat - hair appt and reception in london :eek: Nargle - see if Igor has any moonshine left - perhaps I could take wee hip flask with me :rotfl:
