The jubilant July NSD challenge

Hi, sorry I have taken so long to get back to you. Yeah I would love to join. O.K, we haven't got long left in July so hmmmm, I'm going to aim for 5 and see how we go, if i beat it easily, all the better and i will make august's target extra hard
I think this will really help me buget, does anyone else find that NSD have helped their budgeting?
Oh yes, i have found that trying for NSD's has totally changed my budgeting. Nothing comes as a surprise any more as planning means that i always know what is due to come out of my budget, so no nasty surprises, & i manage to stick to my grocery budget every month, as i no longer by useless bits every day "because they are cheap".
The main thing is to read the post that Ifwisheswerehorses puts up about tailoring the challenge to suit you, so you can make it achievable, & then get collecting them NSD's.... Oh & don't forget to join us for the crazy chat anytime you like, there are some seriously motivational people on this thread (no really there are :rotfl::rotfl:)February NSD challenge 5/150 -

Yesterday was a spendy as it was my birthday (26 shhh!) - your niece is very lucky to be born on such a good day AuntieHappy!! All the best people are born on 19th July
Bought me a couple of necklaces from P£acocks, and some bath bombs as a shop near is closing down, everything a £1! Went to the cinema and had yum yum cookie dough ice cream, and out for tea. Was a good day
Hoping to get another NSD today!
JCG xx
A belated Happy Birthday for Tuesday, jaffacakegal, pleased to hear you had a good day, it sounds fab!!
Some more birthday cake and balloons below, hope you like them:D:DThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Hi suzitiger, no need to apologise, it's good to have you back and to see that our insane ramblings haven't put you off:D
I'm just going to do the update now so will add you to that and welcome you officially to the gang.:D
Yes, NSDs definitely help me budget and I think most of us would say the same. It makes me think about when and how I spend my money and stops me wasting money on "bargains". I used to be in Tatco virtually every day "just to get a couple of things", if I was lucky I spent £20:o Now it's once a week and that's it, it's saved me a fortune which I've put towards my debts and now I'm nearly debt-free:j:j:j:j:j:j
Anyway I'll stop rambling now and get on with the update. If you want to know anything please ask, as you've already discovered we're a friendly bunch and there's usually someone around to answer and feel free to join in with the chat.
Good luck

Got a bit carried away on my previous post - forgot to mention that I got #9 yesterday!
Today is D-Day! I'm off to Wei$htWatcher$ this morning, and I'm really looking forward to getting started. I think I have about 2.5 stones to lose. I am so fed up with the pounds creeping on so I will be glad to do something about it. I will be boring you all with my progress so watch this space!
Wont be a NSD today as I need to pay my joining fee and I've also done an online A$da shop due for delivery today. I had a vcher for free delivery, so I thought I would save myself two hours of a shopping trip!
Have a lovely day everyone!:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Good Luck Jinty.
And today should be a nsd, but will confirm later.£71.93/ £180.000 -

Just a quick one - Jinty - usually if you buy the WW mag, there are vouchers in there so you don't need to pay a joining fee, may be worth a quick scan in one before you go? I can't remember ever paying a joining fee and I joined 3 times :rotfl: obviously didn't stick to it very well!0 -
Hello lovely gang:A
Well...... I did my update post last night as normal, pressed the reply button to post it and MSE decided it didn't want me to post so threw me out. I tried to log back in twice but it wasn't having it so I gave up and went off in a huff:D:o
Double dose coming up this evening!!:D
Hope you're all well today, Friday tomorrow!!:T:T

PS: jinty - hope you get on OK tonight, you can do it x :j:j:j:jThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Good morning everyone!
My chocolate mini-roll has reached its maximum size, as yesterday was NSD number 18 making it 9 NSDs in-a-row, but it ends today as my long overdue food shop will be taking place.
Sorry to hear about your 'puter woes Spoon!
Happy belated birthday for Tuesday JCG! :bdaycake:

I agree with what BDINI and Spoon have said already suzi. Additionally, for me, the NSD challenge is by far the most effective of the MSE challenges; helping me to focus and get me closer to my debt free date, but in a fun way and with a great bunch of supportive people ... welcome to the NSD asylum! :rotfl: A word of warning though, it's very addicitive!

Morning all
Looks like I have missed a lot in the last couple of days!
I have managed a couple of NSDs this week which is a miracle! So that's me up to 7. Currently at my folks for a flying visit then off to my in-laws, so who knows might hit my target!
Have a great day everyone.
