Hello everyone,
Pleased to be reporting in with NSD#9 :j We've had a very busy day getting ready for our hols and it seems to have whizzed by without any opportunity to leave the house. Can't believe that I've done so well this month.
A lovely morning out with friends planned for tomorrow followed by lunch, which will be a bit spendy but lots of fun. Will try and pop in tomorrow. If not, I'll be back soon.CC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Thanks to the people on here who think I'm mad for my bike ride - I think I am too :rotfl:I am REALLY not good with exercise! I usually give up!! Raised £400 for charity so was worth it, now just to work out a way to raise that much for myself
Please donate generously to the Jaffa Cakes for Skint People Fund!
I will definitely try and carry on commuting to work by bike at least once a week, as people have said above petrol is a joke! It's only 6miles, nothing to me now lol!
Anywho back on the topic of NSDs - I'm not doing too good this month so far! Spent yesterday cos I had the day off work, recovery, and the weather was sooo lovely me and a friend went out for lunch and an ice cream on the beach! Lovely sunburn now!
Quite tempted to get a Euromillions ticket so won't declare an NSD quite yet for today!

2 NSDs nabbed yesterday and today, making a total of 7 NSDs so far :j.
Hit H0m£bas£ on Sunday and got some half-price (less an extra 10%) laminate flooring..a bit stripey, but fun, and cheaper than the flooring we were originally considering !! :money:
It will go well with the red walls and cream woodwork in the conservatory...once we have decorated that is!
Been weeding in the garden most of the day, it's looking so much better now. DS2 cut back the second hedge (he did the other on on Sunday) and has raked up all the cuttings...amazing how much bigger the garden looks with a few feet off the height and sides of each hedge along the edges of our 20 foot-wide garden!!
Looks like it will be another gardening day tomorrow, enjoying getting it into shape at long last. Ofcourse, when we get back from holiday, it will no doubt be a jungle again!
All this talk about bikes has got me thinking. I must get mine out of hibernation (been a good few years) when we get back from hols...will be so good for me and help keep our expenditures down too...at least that is the plan
Right off to have some yummy HM pizza...really good this batch, even if I say so myself!

Spend day for me,so still at #8.
Had to go to A & E,but didn't have to wait too long and saw a lovely doctor.Came away with a big prescription,so hopefully will be on the mend soon.
Also bought some groceries.
I think I'll still manage to stick to my budget, despite the presciption taking up a week's funds.Well,I feel up to a challenge....:)0 -
No 5 today!
They seem to be hard to get this month! (luckily prescriptions are free of it would've been a major spend day as had 3 items to get).Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I was forgetting that prescriptions are free in Scotland.Lucky you!I must admit that I don't understand how they can afford to do this...
Anyone care to offer an opinion/explanation?!0 -
Whoo! looks like NSD #7 for me :j I did give £2 for the €-millions but had put that aside yesterday evening so have decided that doesn't count.
Real freezer dinner thonight for me, well, pasta (cupboard) with some of the Mr T 20p sauce (now up at 75p ) with some mixed veg (prev had too much for a stir fry so had frozen them), sausages (prev frozen) and some sweetcorn (again left over from a prev tin and frozen) - oh and some grated cheese on top - one of a BOGOF offer again prev frozen :rotfl: Was very yummy, have about 2 portions left so am feeling tres virtuous :A
Am going to try to do a real coupon busting shop in Mr T on Thurs so going to put my list together tonight. I did get a £23 shop down to £17 in Mr A on Sat, plus I found one of the apples I bought in a bag was rotten today and CS said to return to store for a full refund - so that's another £2.30, but I want to be really organised with this Mr T shop and see exactly what I'm spending. *wanders off muttering 'must stick to list, must stick to list, must stick to list*Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
