nsd number 5 for me today :j
LBM - JULY 2008 - Wage cut followed by redundancy made me realise how much i was living beyond my means.
    Debt in July 2008 = £30,049.59 / Debt today = £20,173.82 / Total paid off = £9,875.77 (32.86%) :D

and today takes me to NSD #4 :T

Was a real struggle to make it though, as there were a couple of things (one in particular) that I really want to try which were hitting reductions tonight.... so at the kind of time I'd normally have wandered back down 'on the off-chance' I went and had a shower and got into my PJ's so that I couldn't go back out ;) (I draw the line at being seen in PJs by work colleagues, even if they have seen me in most other types of clothes I own :rotfl: )

Tomorrow most likely won't be number 5 though - seriously considering trying to make it into the city and back before work to get new running shoes. The only problem is that the shop doesn't open until 10am, and I have to be on the 10:52 bus home if I'm going to be 100% sure of being at work on time having eaten lunch, although the 11:22 bus [strike]would[/strike] should get me home in time to change (but probably not eat as well!) If I leave it until Saturday to go for shoes, then I'm not going to get out for a run until Sunday. But if I go tomorrow then I can get out on Thursday as well as having a choice of which day at the weekend to go........

Yesterday was a direct debit day, so I picked up some groceries I needed (milk and a carrot) as well as some I fancied that were in reductions (far too many to list, but included a huuuuuge 14" chicken, bacon and mushroom pizza I've had two thirds of for tea tonight, which cost me 49p instead of £3.19 :T)

I was forgetting that prescriptions are free in Scotland.Lucky you!I must admit that I don't understand how they can afford to do this...

Anyone care to offer an opinion/explanation?!

They can't! But it was certainly going to win them votes at the last election - and it did! Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that people who really need to get their prescriptions for free can. But personally, I feel I generally keep in good helath and I have a full time job. I should be paying something.

I won't even start on the cost of medication that people don't take (I include myself in this. I can't remember the last time I finished a course of antibiotics right to the end if I've been prescribed them).

Anyway, enough ranting! NSD 4 eventually caught and declared! Here's hoping that's a conclusion to my run of spendy days and I can replicate that run with NSDs!

I did have to pay .50 for parking but it was a work visit so I will get it back.

    Hello :hello:

I haven't half missed you all!!! Haven't managed to catch up with all the thread, but hugs, congratulations & get well soon's to anyone that might need one!

Been a really mad couple of weeks (or possibly a bit longer maybe :undecided), gran was rushed into hospital & mum had a meltdown, so have spent most of my time starting work at 6 am so i could finish mid afternoon & race home to see them, race back & grab not nearly enough sleep before heading off to work again!!
Am shattered & drained, but have a couple of weeks respite as they have sent her home until she goes in for an operation at the end of the month, good job really, my bank balance sooooo can't cope with any more travel costs until after payday!

Anyway Mistress Spoon if it's ok, can i join in now & go for 10 NSD's until the end of the month please? I really do need to get back on track...

Beanie, I meant to ask about the reiki! I'm very tickly so it doesn't appeal to me - I know they don't actually touch you but I think that anticipation might be worse! What's it like for you? How do you find it?

I need to do something but aromatherapy massage doesn't work for me as even it is too tickly for me. So I think it needs to be deep tissue massage! :D

BDINI, lovely to see you. So sorry you've been have such a tough time. That's difficult to deal with at any time, never mind when you are sleep deprived. Catch up on some much deserved sleep and make sure you make time to pamper yourself - it the best way to stay strong for your family. Take care. :A
