The nik naks were nice, but I left them in the kitchen over the last day and a half, and well theres well over half gone already, Ive only eaten a couple, someone in the house finds them a tad addictive I think.

I think I should be able to rack up a few NSD's this week. Im still making my own sandwiches and the sandwich shop is closed for the week anyway so cant even have a moment of weakness. :D

    :hello:

    Hi all NSDers xxx

So sorry I've not been around :( I had a week off last week but felt quite dispirited, not sure why. It may have had something to do with getting an interview for the job I applied for :) It was on the mat when I got home :) but I think it has just made me realise how much I am hating where I am :(. Also it's for next Monday and I'm on an early shift........I tried to change the interview time but they couldn't do that so I put in a leave sheet when I went back on Saturday, should find out today if I have it, in my head she has already said no because the poison dwarf is off but I won't find out until I get in at 2.30. If she does say no then I will have to try to change to a late shift that day which will mean doing a late on the Monday then an early on the Tuesday :(...still I don't know until I get in so need to stop stressing in the here and now LOL.

I knew I wouldn't make many NSDs last week as I knew I had coffee and lunch with different friends on Wednesday and Thursday but did think I'd manage one on Tuesday but didn't as I became quite addicted to cereal in the mornings while I was away and as it's something I don't usually have in I had to get some :rotfl:

I also put the car in for a MOT and service on Friday, pricey but not as bad as last year so I was quite happy with the result. As I was spending that day I also got some clothes for the interview and had my hair cut, which did make me feel a little better about me :)

Didn't manage one on Sunday either as I nipped to the shop before going in to work :( But am signing in early for one today as I'm off to work in a minute and not taking any money with me :D So I am declaring today as number 2. Am going to have to do loads in a row this month but that should be okay :rotfl:

Will try to let you all know later what happened about my leave request......stomach is already sinking as I really don't want to say what I want the time off for because (If by some miracle I get it) I want my resignation to be a surprise mmmmm is that bad?

Right, best get out of the door, I know I have been back for two days but I am really feeling that Monday feeling right now.......

    :hello:

Afternoon everyone. It's really sunny here at the moment and I'm getting loads of washing dry, which is good, making loads of ironing which isn't!

I can declare NSD 4 & 5. I think I'm going to have to 'pull my finger out' to reach my target of 14 this month.

No NSD for me - a friend of mine had her baby, so I had to get a gift for the baby and while I was there I thought I might as well get a couple of bits of shopping I needed. I also bought a couple of custard slices and 2 x gingerbread lattes from C*sta as I got my assignment results back today and I did really well :D So I got myself and my (heavily pregnant!) sister a treat, the drove round to hers and spent the next hour and a half there...should have been doing housework really :o

Also DH had his first day at his new job today which he told me is going well when he managed to call me at lunch.....must get going and catch up with some of the stuff I should have been doing earlier :)

kathy - my sister used to work with someone who she called the poison dwarf :rotfl: I'll keep everything crossed that the interview goes well (which it will, and I'm not even going to mention hoping that you get the time off as that is a given ;) ) and that you can tell the hideous person where to put her job :p

  • Evening all, phew what a couple of days we've had! Yesterday was fairly spendy. The dentist bill turned out to be very reasonable. As we were already out and about, we went to get the few bits of school uniform needed and a few other errands.

We've been out all day today at friends' houses. Lots of lovely visits and lovely food. And the best part is that I didn't spend anything today so NSD#8 for me :j

Hope everyone has had a good start to the week ;)

Also DH had his first day at his new job today which he told me is going well....ditto Mr LMH :j

I second everything LMS has said Kath; sending positive vibes your way m'dear X
It never fails to amaze me how one person can cause so much pain & more so, never called to book because they are the boss's bumchum  My own was a dept manager who was convinced I was swinging the lead even though my GP & consultant both wrote multiple letters; I gave my employer a copy of each of those leaflets you get inside your medication box with the 'possible side effects' (that I have BIG time every now & again) high-lighted & even took various bits of equipment into work to show them :(
Still; us lot here are each a billion, trillion, gazillion times better in the very tip of one hair than all those pig-ignorant jobsworth put together :p

My blumin' fillin' came out lunch time as I was chowing down on a crispbread with cheese & spring onion...think maybe I was pushing it a bit with the lettuce leaf on top :rotfl:...so definitely a date with the dentist in the next few days

I resisted the lure of the w/e market yesterday even tho I am getting worryingly short on unmentionables cheeky-smiley-001.gif They have had nice cotton ones at 3 for a fiver for years but when I looked last, the stalls I saw only had those 'orrid nylon type things eurgh vomit-smiley-002.gif So in my usually waffling way, I'm trying to say that I've managed another 2 nsds to push my running total up to 7 :o
