In Asda the popcorn kernals are with the dried veg etc, at least in ours it is. If I remember rightly they're in a red bag.

I buy mine from our local Halal shop where I can get 2kg for £1.99

I bough a big bag of corn kernels cheap from the local Asian grocers. You might see them in the "ethnic" section of supermarkets with dried beans and lentils. Make sure the pan is good and hot before you put the corn in or it won't pop, just gradually go hard and burn (or at least I think that's what I did wrong fist time I tried it.) If you give the pan a good shake occasionally it will help the unpopped kernels will sink to the bottom and get popped. Best not to do too much because it pops better if theres plenty of room in the pan. I put too much in at once once and it meant it took to long for it all to pop and I wrecked the pan. Plus the house stank.
