Goofbay's free auction sniper
Completely free to all, no downloads, no trials, no weekly limits. you just sign up, log in and start sniping! if you have the toolbar you dont even need to leave ebay to snipe, simply click a button from your address bar when your viewing ebay items. Its a uk based site too so even better for those who mainly buy on ebay uk (the snipe will be even more accurate)
this is the only sniper that actually has been tested and approved by ebays developer team

thanks alot
very good tool0 -
just got this from their customer care:
Sorry that the bid did not work, the reason for this is that the listing had actually ended before the bid could take place, you've actually alerted me to a small bug in our software that has now been resolved.
Its probably best to ensure the bid does take place to bid around 10 seconds before the auction ends...

I am struggling to put a snipe on, as goofbay keeps telling me invalid ebay details. Has anyone else had the same problem?0

I had the same problem this morning, I've used Goofbay Auction Sniper once before and it worked well. Fortunately I was not at work this morning so was able to manually snipe. If I had been going to work I would have missed out because we're not allowed Ebay at work.
I did email Goofbay to report the problem - I guess they've been inundated.

This will probably sound really stupid so i apologise in advance but "sniping" whats it all about ???
From what i can gather it bids at the last minute for an item upto a maximum (that the bidder chooses) and hopes this is enough.
So why is this any different to me doing this manually with 5 or10 seconds to go on an auction (using 2 windows and refreshing 1 while bid at the ready on the other) ?
in the end your only going to pay what you want to pay
