ARGOS END OF CATOLOGUE SALE - STARTS 25th - VIEW SALE ITEMS NOW!

Hey everyone,

On Argos' front page at the moment is an ad for their end-of-catologue sale.

It says "offers valid 25/12/06" which implies that it starts christmas day.

BUT if you follow the link through, and end up on THIS page, it says on the left Offers valid from 22 Dec 06

So it might be worth checking out?

May I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

EDIT: It appears that the items listed are still full price, but from December 25th they will be reduced to their sale price! :D

  • I also noticed that under the dvd recorders it shows one at £39.99, though no image or details - Just had it verified and its a dvd player in the wrong section... may save someone a phonecall.

Those items are still full price, but I'd guess they are the ones that will fall in price??
  • Yep - the items that will be in the sale are listed but the prices aren't reduced yet.

You will know when it is clearance because it will drop to 75% off.

That is the norm for Argos.

Won't see 75% across the board on clearance until feb if past years are anything to go by.

The items shown are the items that will be in the sale as the web team don't want to be working at midnight xmas eve. The prices should be set up to change on xmas day. Can't say i blame them.

the standard length of a reservation is 48 hours, however you can always phone the store in question with your reservation number, and ask them to extend the length of your reservation for you

I thought the reservation only lasted until the store closed the following day unless you reserved on a Saturday and it lasted until Monday store closure.
Phoning to extend the reservation is a good tip,,,,freddy

its 48 hours in the 2 day sense, not in the counting-the-minutes-and-seconds sense. you have until the end of business on the day that your reservation ends to pay for and collect your goods

  • what about resevations need to be collected by end of 25 December, is this extended because of christmas and them not being open?
