Hi
What new skill do you want to acquire in 2007 to save money?
I want to learn how to tile properly rather than get someone in to it for me.
I have some to do for my own house, but also my parents want some doing, so I thought I would attempt this myself... should not be too hard to master (I hope).
So, what other skills do you want to acquire in 2007?

Good question. I've been persuaded (against my better judgement) to take the photos for my sister's wedding this summer, so I'm going to learn how to use my D-SLR camera properly...Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

That is another one of mine to do actually. I do not have a D-SLR, but I do have a 9MP Finepix S9500 which I really need to get to grips with and learn how to use it properly0

Wedding photos... very very dangerous. If they go wrong, you can't go back and do it again. magyar, does your sister want you to do it rather than a professional?
I'm going to take more photos with my D-SLR, and hopefully build up a portfolio I can sell.... not sure if it will work or not, but I'm going to try! Staying away from weddings though.....0 -

Tell me about it - I'm almost thinking that I'm going to pay a professional (it's one area where, when I got married, we didn't scrimp at all). However, it's only a very small wedding (immediate family only) so the plan is currently that my sis+husband to be will go to a studio later and have a couple of 'posed' shots in wedding dress+penguin suit. So really I'm there as a 'journal' photographer.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

Have also met a woman who was a staff trainer for many years and we are going to try and put together our skills to offer creative business training...meant to be really good money."grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can and the wisdom to know it's me"
