We loved Thorness Bay BUT the beach you can walk to is not a sandy beach. Lovely to walk dogs on, throw stones in the sea and exercise the kids but not so good for sunbathing!!
“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”
  • Exercising the kids is good enough, as long as they get to play in the sea they are happy. It looks like there is loads to do there and not alot of driving so its worth a try. Makes a change from 28 years of Cornwall for everyone of my holidays.

Has anyone been to Haven Devon Cliffs, it looks georgeous on the website. I have a 3 year old boy and wondered how close to cliffs you are though... Is it quite safe?

    Thanks

    Hey all,

Thanks to everyone for all the helpful information in this thread.

I have one extra question which I can't seem to find an answer for, I don't have a priority code but my Dad doesn't want to use his so has said I can use that, but we're confused as to whether I'd have to put the holiday down in his name? I was guessing not if people are buying codes off ebay and what not, but just wanted to check if anyone has used someone else's unwanted code before and what the procedure is.

    Thanks again!

I doubt there is a better or bigger camp in their portfolio. I've been with my ten year old twins seven times in the last five years and it will be first choice again this year...they have spent literally millions on it in past few years.

Clean though very big, mind. The golf course is nice, there's a decent spa there, swimming pool is good and if you fancy the beach, it's a smooth sandy one although a couple of times, there has been that green seaweed stuff there.

You are quite close to cliffs but just keep an eye on him/her and you'll be fine.

Handy to a big Tesco too for stocking up as you go in, close to Exeter and near Crealy for a day out.

I love it there and have enjoyed some of the finest times of my life there.
