Hey guys
Basically, Like an prized plonker i agreed to sign up to a contract in my name for my brother so he could have the phone, and a contract.
Anyhow.. He's ran up a big bill in my name. I was furious seeing this. Soo after a massive argument ive got him to pay vodafone each week
However if he pays each week as we agreed but doesnt pay the full bill amount due, Would vodafone cut the line? Would they terminate the contract..
I just dont want the situation getting to debt collectors?
Thanks

You have to agree this with VF, not between two of you.
They are likely to 'cut the line' until the debt is paid, but this doesn't necessarily mean selling the debt to collectors.
Also, debt collectors is only one of your worries. Another one is your credit history.0 -
Oh i couldnt care about my credit history. I'd rather buy things outright now..
But hmm okay I just dont want the whole account terminated and i get a huge debt in my name.
Thanks anyway0 -
Pay the debt then and make your brother to repay it to you with the interest.samperry209 wrote: »I'd rather buy things outright now..0 -

If you don't make the payments, you'll get a big debt, the phone cut off and a credit blacklisting. Don't dismiss the latter as inconsequential; one day you'll want a loan, a mortgage, etc. One default will stay on your record for years if you let it get to that stage. No free lunch, and no free laptop
