my ds is almost 6 and loves Lazy town he knows all the songs so I've bought him the cd. He also loves the pop party kind of songs and has been using his older sisters audio books (on tape but I think they come in cd format now)0

My daughters are 6 and 9 and both like the Now That's What I call Music cd's as you get loads of chart hits that they recognise on them. Keeps them both happy!!I will be rich :rotfl:0

Dont know really what your niece listens to, but a good many bands do release a "Clean" version of their albums. The Darkness and My Chemical Romance have done this in the past (useful as DD adored The Darkness and was only 6 herself at the time).
Personally I dont bother with the swearing much anymore, DD is now 9 and substitutes the words
But with a 6 year old I could see her happily singing along...... 0 -
What about the High School Musical one?
All the kids in my 9 year old daughters school from about 6 upwards seem to be constantly singing the songs from this album.
BTW has anyone noticed that High School Musical the film is on BBC 1 over Xmas. I am so glad that I didn't go out and buy the dvd of it for my 9 year old...would feel sick if I had!!I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me saying "You're next". They stopped when I started doing it to them at funerals

my 6 year old son had a cd player for his birthday, for christmas he has requested, Mcfly, The Automatic and The feeling. (blimey it is so wierd having a son develope an indivual taste ..last year he had a pop party album and was fine with it) Dh is listening to them in his car on the way to work and back home before hand, to check for naughties !!!0
