This is my 10,000th post on the MSE forums , and I wanted it to be here.
When I first found the PAD thread, it was three years ago and I have over £9,000 worth of debt. I had no idea how to get out of it, but get out of it I did - and only a week or two before my 30th birthday I became debt-free, all thanks to the Power Of PAD.
I now have debt again, but this time "good debt" for a better car than I had before, and I've already used PAD to pay off nearly 20% of the loan since July.
Without this thread I would still be stuck in a rotten situation, with no idea how to get out of my financial pickles. Instead, I have debt but it's manageable and reducing every day and with every small payment.
If you've just found us, this method of paying down your debts really can work, one penny and one payment at a time.
Merry Christmas folks :rudolf:0 -
^^^^ :j:j:j:j:j 10000 posts, you sure are talkative! I do agree with everything you have said, sometimes a small PAD may seem a bit pointless given the size of the mountain some of us have to climb but it really does work! Since finding this thread I have grabbed the bull by the horns and worked out a path to debt freedom, which turns out to be not as long a road as I thought.
Congratulations on 10000 posts FF, I look forward to reading 10000 more :beer:0 -
