Still, the other cats just made up for it - a Siamese chorus in the morning - what a lovely wake up call.
You have Siamese? So do I! Oh, I love the breed so much, what colours do you have? I have two modern-style Siamese, apricot-point and blue-point. They are brothers and are everything I had hoped they would be and more!!0 -

snowballing is just as addictive as padding, i just entered this mornings pad and noticed that to even things up i needed to pad the above:D
Yeah snowballing is like so addictive...I never realised how addictive debt busting and being frugal could be till I did the snowball :rotfl::rotfl:
You just know with the snowball where things are going when. That and a spreadsheet and you're made (any spreadsheet)

Excuse me if I'm thick but are you actually paying these bits off when you post or just putting them in an account and paying a bulk off at once? I put little bits away and I plan on paying a sum off in a years time but I'm thinking maybe this is a better way of doing it????0

Hello! The beauty of PaD is that you can do it anyway you like! Some people post the amount they are putting into a seperate account or paying into a tin! The accumulated pennies are then paid off in a lump sum. Some people do literally pay the amount they post directly off an account whether it's a loan or credit card. I tend to do mine that way, so I use online banking to make my payments. Nobody has had a little payment turned away as far as I'm aware.

Hi Charityworker, I PAD a little payment everyday from my current account via bills payment to the target debt. When its for a high interest debt, I found paying even a £1 a day makes a difference on the cr*ppy interest charges.
But it doesn't matter whichever way you want to pay. For me its more about paying a bit each day and not frittering a little.
So at the moment I know its going to be tight over Christmas, so my plan is to PAD £2 a day and take pack lunches for work instead or give up my weekend magazine. After Christmas I will be back to much stricter rules and emptying every spare penny I can from our grocery/month spends account before we can blow it. I just feel I need to give a bit of space over Christmas (cos we love it). This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -

Thanks. I pay my debt by direct debit and pay a lump sum off once a year by cheque. I've been doing it a year and have already shaved an extra year off. When I pay and extra payment they send me a letter acknowledging it. Are you sure they're not going to mind me sending a cheque every day or even every week? I can't pay it online. I've already asked.0 -
