Today's PAD is £4.12 to MBNA, thanks FF.
I keep looking for little mini goals to pass as my debt goes down. Today's little victory is that I owe less than £1400 total after my PAD this morning.

Pad of £11 today please Flyin' to Ipad fund, total required has jumped by another £20 as have bought a protective cover for the 'precious one' ~ refusing to buy a case though, knitting needles and ravelry here I come :D

    -s-

Easy enough to make a sock for gadgets...x amount of ribbing...then stocking stitch (you know knit a row, purl a row) x 2 (for the size of your gadget. You need to measure it first).... then when you have the right dimensions for one side you do another then oversew the pieces together (wrong sides together) and DA DAH you have a sock for your gadget..

If you want drawstring you just need to crochet a few rows one end of your ribbing (kind of lattice...one row then one treble, one chain and so on, or even a double then a chain) and put ribbon through or cord...

I crochet phone covers all the time...doesn't take long...

Hope that saves head ache @Ravelry LOL

Thank you. I can assure you that I have done much crying myself over the years. (((hugs))) :)

I can honestly and absolutely say that without this challenge and the lovely people here I would not be looking forward to December so much. Before I discovered this I thought that my regular loan payment over 6 years was all I needed and I didn't know anything about the circa. £100 per month that I seem to be managing to PAD! Oh how foolish I was :o My advice: never give up.

Right, back to reality, not debt free yet so £2.50 PAD for me today please FF :)

Yeah sorry we didn't meet up G.A.P....hugs....

Can't wait till Tuesday and like pay day when I can throw another £40 at the mac...

So what's going to be the best thing about being debt free when you get there? (should I start a new thread for this one?)...For me it's going to be being able to tithe and not worrying about a drop in income (likely in the next few years)

Good morning all, I notice that I didn't add my PAD from yesterday (sorry FF :o) but I managed £1.23 yesterday and £1.25 today.
  • Woke up at 2.30 this morning worrying about our debts and eventually gave up on getting anymore sleep and logged onto the PC instead. It's not that we can't meet our monthly payments, we can..............just.................I'm worrying about things that could happen. One little, tiny, change to our income will be enough to tip us into a place where we wont be able to pay our monthly CC bills. What is worrying me is that I can see the possibility of a change to our income looming over the horizon.

So....I'm back on track :) I've just made a PAD of £1.50 to Tesco CC and have resolved to pay something, anything each day - even if it is only a penny.

As FF said, well done on getting your head out of the sand :)

What scares me now is the thought that if I hadn't started paying off my debt two years ago, I'd pretty much be screwed now! My monthly income has slowly decreased due to tax changes in my job... I don't have anywhere near the disposable income that I used to!!

  • Just a small PAD of £1.08 in my pot ready for the monthly cc bill.
  • PAD £1.12 today to CC1.
  • £5 for me today please :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
