Chin up guys, these life challenges would be more er, challenging without this challenge to help! It can be demotivating to see all your efforts go on some bill but at least you have a bit of a buffer since you've been doing this challenge which hopefully helps a little...maybe only 9 steps backwards?
yes exactly! positive thinking! it's hard but vital. i'm expecting a bill of about €800 any time now (for some tax thing that i don't quite understand). i haven't budgeted properly for it cos i don't know how much it will be exactly and it's just too big to save for, so i'll have to pay it on credit card. given that i've paid off just over £1000 from my total debt this will be a massive setback for me, but i keep *trying* to tell myself that if i hadn't made that effort and paid back anything, i'd be €800 even further in debt - whereas now my situation will still be better than when i startedJayJay14 wrote:I have managed to find myself a temp job

Thank you. I can assure you that I have done much crying myself over the years. (((hugs)))Chin up guys, these life challenges would be more er, challenging without this challenge to help!
I can honestly and absolutely say that without this challenge and the lovely people here I would not be looking forward to December so much. Before I discovered this I thought that my regular loan payment over 6 years was all I needed and I didn't know anything about the circa. £100 per month that I seem to be managing to PAD! Oh how foolish I wasMy advice: never give up.

I haven't managed to pad much this month as I don't know where all my spare cash has gone
I did do a bit of christmas shopping in Westfield on Saturday, but I really don't know where it has gone. But, for the first time in a long time, I have said no to drinks after dinner and come home. I hate feeling like I'm missing out on the fun but I keep spending my mot fund and weekly budget fund, then having nothing left for the rest of the month! Although I'm a bit peeved at coming home alone and missing out, I'm a little bit pleased at the fact I haven't spent more than I budgeted! Maybe something might be clicking into place a little bit in my spendy brain.
