That must be a such a fantastic feeling Sashanut, huge congrats.

Our 2 endowments pay out in early 2013 but our finances are so shot that we will more than likely have to sell early next year as we can just no longer afford to pay the mortgage, though as we will be carrying on with the endowment payments at least we can look forward to the cash.

Anyway PAD for today Skaps is £100 to OH's 0%cc - so at least it is all off the debt.

    Thanks.

    Hi all:j

Thanks very much for all the congrats & impressive smilies, much appreciated :D TBH it's been such a struggle to get this paid out to me, mainly because I took it out with ex-OH & have been through various name changes in the meantime. Mortgage term actually finished @ end of July, but it's taken all this time to get proof of who I am (sometimes wonder meself), plus each time I rang up they told me a different set of proofs were needed  Then I had NW phoning/writing letters every day to ask why I was in arrears, despite visiting the branch & them ringing head office & then telling me I had 3 months grace since 'these things sometimes take awhile to get sorted'
    :rotfl:
I did wonder whether I should have paid off the cc debt first, especially as they asked me if I wanted to invest it & take out another mortgage  But, in the end thought go for it, too tempting otherwise.......

In terms of performance of the endownment, of course it didn't pay out any massive bonus as was promised in the beginning, but it more or less bar about £1000 paid off the loan, so I suppose I was lucky. Hasn't really sunk in yet, but your comments did make me smile today - take a bow folks, I couldn't do it without you. When I finally pay off the ccs, that will be the BIG party

Today's payment is £1.05 to the MBNA CC

I think my extra payments may resemble this until after Christmas when I can make bigger ones.
